Aim: To develop and demonstrate skill in examining analyses of a food diary. Follow the steps in Procedure 3 to complete this exercise.
As you work, compare your screens with those presented here.
- To start
- Start FoodChoices®.
- Open the food diary for ‘Abey‘ in the ‘Samples‘ folder and click on the Foods tab.
- Examine the analysis for a specific nutrient
Examine the analyses for protein in each of the foods and compare your analyses with the one below.
- Examine the analysis for a specific food
Examine the analysis for All Components for the chicken drumstick and compare your analysis with the one below.
- Examine the analysis for a specific meal
Examine the contribution that lunch makes to the RDI and compare your analysis with the one below.
- Examine the sources of energy and the fat percentages
Examine the sources of energy and fat percentages for:
- the whole day
- breakfast.
